NCL Organizes Training Programme on Women Empowerment; Women Must Rise Above Stereotypes and Create Their Own Identity, Says Savita Pradhan
Singrauli: Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) organized a special training programme on the theme of “Women Empowerment” at CETI, Singrauli, aimed at encouraging women employees to realize their potential, strengthen their confidence, and contribute more effectively to society and the workplace.
Addressing the gathering as the chief guest, Savita Pradhan, Municipal Commissioner, Singrauli, emphasized that true success is defined by an individual’s hard work, dedication, and achievements. She urged women to break free from conventional social stereotypes and carve out their own identities through determination and self-belief.
“Women should set their goals with confidence, make independent decisions, and trust their abilities. Society’s preconceived notions should never limit their aspirations,” she said. She encouraged participants to remain committed to their dreams and challenge outdated stereotypes through their accomplishments.
The programme was attended by senior NCL officials, including Rajesh Trivedi, General Manager (Human Resources); Pramod Kumar Sinha, General Manager (HR/EE); Niranjan Rukmangad, General Manager (Singrauli Rehabilitation Cell); Sanjay Sinha, General Manager (Administration); and Rajan Meik, General Manager (HRD). Women employees from various NCL projects and units also participated enthusiastically in the event.
During the second session, Dr. R.D. Pandey, Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy practitioner and Chairman of the Child Welfare Committee (Bench), Singrauli, highlighted the significance of women’s strength through various episodes from the Ramcharitmanas. He spoke about the vital social and familial roles played by women and emphasized the importance of self-confidence, patience, and positive thinking.

Dr. Pandey also discussed the benefits of yoga, meditation, and a balanced lifestyle, while educating participants about healthy eating habits and the importance of fiber, vitamins, and calcium-rich diets. The session concluded with guided meditation and yoga exercises for all attendees.
The programme ended with a presentation by Anusha Chepuri, Senior Manager (Human Resources), who explained the provisions of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 (POSH Act). She informed participants about their rights, grievance redressal mechanisms, and the importance of maintaining a safe and respectful workplace environment.
The training programme reflected NCL’s commitment to promoting gender equality, empowering women employees, and fostering an inclusive and supportive work culture.
